Dr Robert K. Anderson, Founder of CENSHARE

R.K. Anderson, the co-founder of CENSHARE in 1981, passed away on October 18, 2012 at the age of 90.  Dr. Anderson was an accomplished veterinarian, who developed a joint program in veterinary public health between the College of Veterinary Medicine and the School of Public Health, teaching food safety and protection, zoonotic diseases, and epidemiology.  He remained active as an animal behavioralist and public health veterinarian throughout his career.  He also was a co-inventor with Ruth Foster of the Gentle Leader collar for dogs as well as the Gentle Leader Easy Walk harness.
